Artist’s Note
Guardians of Railay was inspired by a journey to Thailand with my husband in 2024. Like all our trips, it was full of chaos and adventure, yet during our three nights at Railay Beach we found ourselves walking along the coast at sunset. The view was breathtaking—long-tail boats resting on emerald waters, limestone cliffs rising like ancient guardians, and the sky ablaze with color. In that moment, I felt profoundly blessed to be alive and to witness such beauty. Through this painting, I hope to share that sense of serenity and gratitude with others.
